A Dublin punter is celebrating a weekend windfall after a punt on two virtual horses saw them walk off with a tasty four-figure sum.
The anonymous customer in the capital struck the ambitious wager via their BoyleSports account, placing €25 each-way on two runners at Down Boyle on Saturday evening.
The bet got off to a flier when Ricardo Blanc (18/1) landed the spoils in the 6.10 race and there was barely time for the nerves to kick in as three minutes later the second runner was off and running in search of the jackpot.
When 16/1 shot Six Numbers hit the winning line the bet was landed and in the blink of an eye the flutter had returned a mega total of €8,650.
The horses may have been virtual but the winnings are anything but.
We congratulate our Dublin customer on their big win and hope they enjoy a treat with the winnings.
